It used to be great. Quality went down over time and service as well. Hidden gem to pretentious & incohesive nightmare. What a tragedy.
Very tasty food, but very small portion for the high price 😀
Excellent value byow, French cuisine. Dégustation menu for about 55$ is well worth it. Service is friendly and efficient, def repeat.
Really good experience. Amazingly fast and friendly service. The plates a bit small that I would like.
What a delight. The evening my partner and I went to get dinner out and all I can say is wow. For around 50 dollars each we were able to get an antre, trou normand, main, desert and coffee which were all fantastic. In top of that we were able to bring our own bottle of wine which made the night even nicer. This is the place to take a date if you want to have good food, atmosphere and a drink for a reasonable price.
Best covid take-out expérience ever! They give you everything you need for two including cutlery, napkins, tablecloth. Very little waste unlike most takeout. Incredible tartare and and insane dessert. Lemonade (add your own bourbon!). Just a great experience.
Both waiters served us with uncovered hostility. When we asked for two desserts, the waiter brought one saying they didn't have the other. We wouldn't eat there unless both of us had our plates, but bringing us the one dessert compelled to eating it. Obviously, was done on purpose. You first announce whether all ordered is available, and then serve after the final decision of the client. Very bad experience which spoiled the date. Never back.
First time going there and it was disappointing. The food and service were 2/5. I went there for mtl a table its a fixed menu for 43$. Not worth it.
Courteous service, peaceful ambiance and delicious food! I will go back!
The quality is high, and the dishes are quite refined. What would make them simply outstanding is a bit more on the sauce and reduction end. The different sauce and puree accents are but swirls on the side of the plate... so the quantity leaves you wanting.
Honestly a great place to go out when you want to feel a little fancy without breaking your wallet. Their taster option (essentially a 3 course meal) was really good and anything on the menu can be chosen. The ambiance is great and the service is spectacular. The waiter that served us was fast and efficient and even checked up a couple of times throughout the experience to see if everything was to our liking. Did I also mention it's a BYOW (with ice buckets for the white variety).
I tried this byob today and it was pleasant. I'd never heard of it before and though it was new but it seems like I was wrong. They've been around for a while. They have the whole wall made of windows which is nice and luminous. They're actually garage doors so I guess it must all open in summer. Food was nice with fresh ingredients. Nothing overcomplicated but tasty overall. Friendly, casual, with a laid back feeling. I'll probably go back during the summer too.
Nice food. A little louder :)
With its festive atmosphere, my girlfriend and I were drawn towards this gem’s outdoor street venue. The kitchen was closed, but the people were warm, beautiful and friendly. The staff was extremely chill and customer focused. We will definitely be back with a massive group of friends in tow!
Although the dishes had nice presentation, they weren't that generous with their portions. They put my group of 15 onto a group menu for either $41/51 with 4 options for appetizers and 3 options for the main course + dessert. Wasn't that impressed with the mushroom toast and main ravioli. And although it was light enough to Netflix and chill afterwards it really didn't quite hit the spot nor did it make me want to come back for more. Rather it was just enough food to continue until I got home. Service was good, the food... Felt like wedding food, mass produced and little taste, nothing exquisite for the hefty price. My rating is strictly based on group menu experience, not the general regular menu.
Not good for groups. 2h, 15$, 1 scallop. Hoping it gets better real soon.
The food is average. Not good for my taste. Service was slow. The best was the ambiance and you can bring your own wine.
I got the meatballs and my friends and I thought that it was way too salty. I think the prices are too high for the quality of food they're serving. But the news is that you can actually bring your own wine.
Definitely underwhelming. Service was slow and uneven, if otherwise polite. Food was lukewarm and unfortunately unsavory for the price.
Horrible service. Went here as a big group and the waiter was not friendly at all. Took my half full bottle of wine away without asking if we were done. Gave us a charred dessert that shouldn't be burned. Definitely not worth the trip. Expensive for what it really is and very bad service.
Quaint ambiance with large 'windows' (garage doors - which must be very nice in the summer). Diner was very good with a nice selection of starters, mains, desserts and a few black board additions. They offer a 3 courses meal at $51 plus small surplus depending on the dish chosen. The dishes come nicely presented and good flavors. The service was nice and overall good. although I did need to serve my own wine maybe that's normal since the restaurant is BYOB (bring your own wine). Overall good value for the dining experience which I would recommend but nothing stood out to justify 5 stars.
Excellent food... reasonable price
Very nice French style cuisine. Intestine menu. Service is faster than usual. It's BYOB
Worth every penny. Amazing cuisine, atmosphere and service. BYOW! My favorite date night location
Went for MTL à table. The service was the best part of the experience. The staff was very friendly, accommodating and helpful. The place is a bit noisy, it'd probably be much better in summer while the garage-door style window bays on two sides of the small room are open. The food was very nicely presented. It tasted ok, but not really great. Each dish seemed to have something missing or another that's didn't need to be there, which was disappointing for a 43$/person meal.
I liked it here. The food was pretty okay but not the biggest in quantity. The service was amiable and polite. Good place :)
The food was good, servers were friendly. Place felt cozy
The most amazing food! A diamond in the rough
Portions were a bit on the small side but service and execution was impeccable!
Small and cozy restaurant, excellent menu and never disappoints.
amazing food and casual atmosphere. love it
Pros: byow, good ambiance, decent food. Waitress was helpful.Cons: expensive for portions, too many "bells an whistles" on the plate. Not the best espresso.
My best dining experience in Montreal. Must book in advance. Service was super impressive and all the food served to the 4 of us was top notch, delicate, balanced and flavourful. Open kitchen keeps the place upbeat and warm. Try the squash cake dessert if you can. Still dreaming about it.
Great price for the table d'hote and really really good food. In can get quite loud when it is busy but otherwise it's our go-to special occasion restaurant
Bit messy services but probably you won't be any the wiser if you're not at front or the bar. Food is the star.
Nice service. Simple menu. Great food. Don't forget to bring your own wine. You must make a reservation as the place is very small. Also, it gets very noisy so get your vocal cords ready.
Complex flavours. Very impressed!
I find this restaurant underated. It is simply amazing food. The presentation is impeccable and the taste is truly great. A must try and bring your own wine.
Great atmosphere. Food selection was definitely interesting. They allow you to bring your own wine which was a new experience as we aren't from Montreal.
Really nice atmosphere. Decor on point. BYOB as well!!! Food was alright. Expensive for the portions Would come back
It took an hour to serve the duck I ordered, which came overcooked. Once the waitress realised we weren't happy she was even more rude. Overpriced and overrated.
A little bit $$$ but worth it.One the better restaurant in Montreal.
Nice BYOW restaurant, the food is delicious and the service is fast.
Quite cosy
Highly recommended bring your own wine in plateau, excellent service and the food is fresh! Our waitress Julie was very professional and pleasant! Good job guys.
Great food and good service.
Bring your own wine restaurant. Great scallops and duck.
Whatever choice they made following COVID-19 is great: fantastic street eats, ice cream that looks promising and physically distant crowd outside. Should keep this approach, but adjust prices or portion size to be more street food appropriate instead of 7 popcorn shrimps and a piece of lettuce for 9$+tx.
This is probably my favourite restaurant in the city. Especially in the summer. The food is a bit pricey but the quality is exceptional. I highly reccomend for a special night out. They do offer a rather affordable tartar de boeuf if you're on a budget. BWOB!
